Abstract

1346407 Packaging machines SUNDS AB 21 Nov 1972 [22 Nov 1971] 53717/72 Heading B8C In apparatus for packaging bags of fragile products in a container, bags continuously arriving from converging shoots 1 are engaged by pegs 4 extending from continuously driven chains 3 and are lifted to a position from which groups of bags are removed by a carriage comprising pins 7 on horizontal rods 6 interleaving the pegs 4 and continuously moving in a trapezoidal path as shown, the carriage conveying the groups to a table 10 where they are successively trapped by a vertically reciprocating holder 11, 12 until a rake 13 can transfer each group to a pneumatically operated device with plates 14, 15 movable down through rake 13 to position the group on a container blank 17 which is subsequently shaped into a container.
