Abstract
1345571 Facsimile recording XEROX COBP 19 April 1971 [2 Feb 1970] 20806/71 Heading H4F [Also in Division G2] A transparent coating on the face plate of a TV tube forms the injecting or blocking electrode of a photoelectrophoretic imaging device. The face plate may be flat or cylindrical and may be of glass or optical fibres. The tube may be part of a closed circuit TV network or a telephone or radio communications network. Recorded video signals may be employed. A negative image may be produced from a positive original by electrical manipulation of the video signals. Mono or polychromatic light may be produced. In the latter case, the video signals may be modified to compensate for non-ideal pigments. As shown, a TV tube 3 supplies light to photoelectrophoretic ink 5 through a transparent coating forming an electrode 1, another electrode being formed by roller 4, the vertical movement of which is synchronized with that ofthe cathoderay beam.
