Abstract

1345138 Injection moulding footwear BRITISH UNITED SHOE MACHINERY CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [27 Dec 1969] 62994/69 Heading B5A [Also in Division A3] In the injection-moulding of a shoe bottom unit, a foot-form 40 carrying the lasted upper A and a heel filler block 20 is placed in moulding assembly 50 which comprises sole member 51, two side members 52, 56, two welt plates 53, 57 (one secured to each side member) and two heel clamps 54, 58 each having a lower lip continuous with the corresponding welt plate and an upper lip 55, 59. The heel clamps 54, 58 define a cavity C between the upper u and the lining L into which the moulding fluid, e.g. PVC flows via channels through heel filler block 20.
