Abstract

1345061 Lap forming machines CURLATOR CORP 12 Oct 1971 [31 Dec 1970] 47443/71 Heading D1N A lap forming machine comprises a duct leading from a licker-in to a condenser having one wall 422 of aerofoil shape which is convexly curved towards the opposite wall of the duct. A removable saber tube 360 is arranged at the upstream end of the aerofoil wall so that air will flow around both sides of the saber. Air flow around the saber tube 360 can be controlled by flap 405. The opposite wall 424 of the duct may diverge from the aerofoil wall by up to 15‹. Specification 762327 is referred to. (For Figure see next column)
