Abstract

1344757 Resistance heating elements STATNI VYZKUMNY USTAV TEXTILNI 16 June 1972 [30 July 1971 6 Oct 1971] 28269/72 Heading H5H An electrically resistive tape 1 is disposed in sinuous form between two electrically insulating layers comprising textile fabrics 4 with inner plastics coatings 5 locally fused to each other at areas free of said tape. The coating 5 is continuous or discontinuous, and may inpregnate the textile fabric within at least part of its thickness. Silicone rubber is the preferred plastics. Tape 1 has ribs 3 of greater heat conductivity to improve the overall heat conduction. The outer surfaces of the fabrics 4 may have coatings which are waterproof or fireproof. Tape 1 may be separately insulated and may have a support layer. The ends of tape 1 are attached via copper foil 7 to the current supply leads 6.
