1344236 Surface drainage blocks; conduits EVERCRETE Ltd 5 June 1972 [22 March 1972] 13351/72 Headings E1C and E1G A concrete drainage block for road or like surfaces, or for swimming pools, has a longitudinal top or side face 13 provided at intervals with transverse passageways 12 leading to a longitudinal conduit 11. The passageways 12 may be oval, rhomboidal, or arcuate, but as shown are rectangular and diverge inwardly, having a trapezium shape in both longitudinal and transverse section, Figs. 2, 3 (not shown). The conduit 11 may be oval or (as shown) substantially circular section flared at 23, 24. The face 13 may be non-planar and may have a shallow groove interconnecting the passageway mouths. The end faces may be provided with projections and recesses for interlocking and with conduit sealing rings. The passageways 12 may be offset in staggered relationship along the block.
