1329445 Inflatable weirs PNEUMATIQUES CAOUTCHOUC MANUFACTURE ET PLASTIQUES KLEBER-COLOMBES 5 Oct 1970 [6 Oct 1969] 47307/70 Heading E1H A watercourse barrier comprises an elongate inflatable envelope 1 together with one or more elongate rigid members 2 forming a rigid anchoring member extending the width of the watercourse, and bearing against stonework blocks 4a, 4b. Aggregates 5 laid on the upstream edge of the barrier provide sealing and prevent undermining. The barrier may be V-sbaped in plan or section, Figs. 7-9 (not shown), and may be provided with a number of chambers 23 extending transversely of its length, around the periphery of the barrier, Fig. 16, and inflatable e.g. with water, independently of the main envelope 1, to control the shape of the barrier, during the various stages A-C of its inflation.
