1366067 Road surface drainage blocks; kerbs SAFETICURB Ltd 4 Aug 1971 [23 June 1970] 30349/70 Heading E1G A road surface drainage block 2 which may have an integral kerb portion 4 has a longitudinal face 10 provided at intervals with transverse passages 12 leading to one or more longitudinal ducts 8. As shown the passage 12 comprises a recess in the end face, the block, Fig. 2 (not shown), having a similar recess (16) at its other end and a central transverse slot (14). The end faces may have grooves 18 for sealing compound, or may have integrally-cast self-locking sealing elements (not disclosed). The upper regions of the slots and recesses may have metal surrounds. The blocks may be cast in upper and lower portions.
