1342483 Endless conveyer frameworks DOWTY MECO Ltd 19 April 1971 [21 March 1970] 13744/70 Heading B8A A conveyer structure comprises a series of structural bridge members 1 connected at adjacent ends by pontoons 4, 5, and engagement means between each bridge element end portion and pontoon comprising a peg 25 slidably engaging in a channel member 19 which permits their relative angular movement about an axis substantially perpendicular to the plane of the ground on movement of a pontoon laterally of the structure, and also permitting their relative angular movement about an axis parallel to the plane of the ground and transverse to the length of the bridge member, the peg 25 being slidable within the channel member 19, said engagement means further comprising a rail 18 at each end of and extending the width of each bridge element and contacting the upper plate 22 of each pontoon such that on rotation of the structure about an axis parallel to the length of a bridge member the bridge member and associated pontoon maintain the same relative positions. The relative locations of the pegs 25 and channel 19 may be interchanged. The upper and lower arms 12, 14 of an endless belt run on idler rollers 11, 13 mounted on the bridge members 1.
