Abstract

1341931 Spool boxes BULRICH 28 June 1972 [28 June 1971] 30347/72 Heading G2E [Also in Division B8] A container for roll film comprises a base 1a having a skirt 1 and a lid 2a having a skirt 2b, the two skirts tapering towards the interior of the container so that they create a locking tension when they fit together. Such a positive closure also forms a good seal against ingress of oxygen, which has a deleterious effect on colour film. The base 1a has a central spigot 3 with a threaded part 4 at its free end, into which fits a screw 6 set in the lid 2a. Spigot 3 has a recess 7 at its lower end, so that several such containers can be conveniently stacked together. The container may be made of a hard plastics material and may be circular or polygonal in shape.
