Abstract

1341750 Photographic silver halide material FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 21 Dec 1971 [26 Dec 1970] 59512/71 Heading G2C A photographic light-sensitive material comprises a support having thereon at least one of a red-sensitive gelatino silver halide emulsion layer, a green-sensitive gelatino silver halide emulsion layer and a blue-sensitive gelatino silver halide emulsion layer wherein said layer or layers contain a polymer having the constituents: wherein R is an alkyl group (preferably having 1 to 4 carbon atoms) and wherein the molar ratio of the constituents is respectively x: y: z where x, y and z are numbers satisfying the following conditions: 40 # x # 90 10 # y # 60 0 # z # 40 and x + y +z = 100 Examples of suitable polymers are given. The emulsion may also contain as the binder for the silver halide a hydrophilic organic colloid other than gelatine e.g. cellulose or polyvinyl alcohol. The material may be developed in a colour developer (e.g. a p-phenylene diamine derivative) containing a diffusible cyan, magenta or yellow coupler e.g. a pheralic coupler, an open-chain methylenic coupler, cyclic methylenic coupler or an acylaceto amide open-chain methylenic coupler.
