Abstract

1341483 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems F THUMM (trading as WEPAKS WERKZENG PUMPEN-UND KOMPRESSORENFABRICK VON NEUDECK & CO) 30 July 1971 [13 Oct 1970] 35892/71 Heading G3P [Also in Division F1] A radial piston pump (see Division F1) comprises a rotary cylinder block 20 supported on a stationary pintle valve, and pistons 40 with pivoted shoes 42 engaging annular tracks in an assembly 24 rotatably supported on arms 27 pivotable about a pivot 30 by a hydraulic servomotor 60, to adjust the piston stroke. A pump for supplying actuating liquid for the servomotor is driven by the main pump shaft. The servomotor 60 is controlled by a solenoid-operated valve 64, Fig. 6 to which control signals are supplied by an amplifier 84 receiving a signal 85 indicating the desired output setting of the pump, and a feedback signal 86 from the arm 70 of a potentiometer 66 indicating the servomotor position. Amplifier 84 produces a differential signal to cause energization of either of solenoids 68, 69 controlling valve 64. A pressurerelief valve 65 is provided. In Fig. 7 (not shown) amplifier 84 receives signals from a flowmeter (87) and a pressure sensor (90) in the pump output line, to control the pump output volume and pressure. The servomotor assembly is mounted on a removable plate 15a, Fig. 1, of the pump casing to facilitate replacement.
