Abstract

1486256 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems; automatic electric control POCLAIN 6 Dec 1974 [21 Dec 1973] 52880/74 Headings G3N and G3P A discharge valve 4 controlling the maximum pressure in a hydraulic circuit 3 has the fluidpressure in chamber 16 biasing the valve-member 17 closed controlled by a ball valve 23 whose spring bias is adjusted by a piston 27 which is movable in a chamber 26b. The chamber 26b is selectively connectible to a control pump 12, or a drain 2, or neither by two spring-loaded electromagnetically-operated valves 10, 11 which are operated through a Wheatstone Bridge 9 to reduce the difference between the actual position of the piston and a desired position set by a pointer 5 to zero. The hydraulic-pressure-adjusting pointer contact 5 is movable over a resistor 49 and a resistor 48 carried by the piston-rod 31 moves relative a contact 7, the resistors 48, 49 forming the arms of the Wheatstone Bridge which is connected to a power supply 52. The contacts 5, 7 are connected via amplifiers 53, 55 to devices 54, 56 controlling the electromagnets, a pulsed power converter 57 being connected to the devices.
