Abstract
1469629 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 13 May 1975 [17 May 1974] 20152/75 Heading G3P The eccentricity of stator ring 12 of a vane pump pump is varied by pistons 14, 15 controlled by valves 29, 31 which are operated by an electronic control apparatus 34 which compares a "desired eccentricity" signal S with an "actual eccentricity" signal from a sensor 38, movement of the ring 12 in either direction being effected by moving a respective one of the solenoid-operated valves 29, 31 into position I whereby pump discharge pressure 26 is fed to the associated cylinder to urge its piston thereoutof, the other valve being moved either to a slow rate of movement position II in which the associated cylinder is cut-off and blow thereoutof can only take place via a throttle formed by a clearance between the piston and cylinder, or to a fast rate of movement position III in which fluid can be pushed out of the cylinder to a low-pressure reservoir 27. In a modification Figs. 2 and 3, (not shown), one piston is permanently subjected to pump discharge pressure whilst the other is controlled by a valve possessing positions I and II only.
