Abstract

1341220 Chromium-containing alloys; colouring INTERNATIONAL NICKEL Ltd 22 June 1972 [22 June 1971] 29229/71 and 17940/72 Heading C74 [Also in Division G1] Chromium-containing alloys which can be coloured by immersion in an aqueous solution of chromic and sulphuric acids contain 12À5 per cent by weight of chromium. Examples are iron based nickel chromium molybdenum alloys:- 37% Ni, 18% Cr, 5% Mo, 1À2% Ti and 1À2% Al; Cobalt based alloys:- 21% Cr, 21% Ni and 13% Mo; and nickel-chromium alloys:- 30% Cr, 1% Ti and the remainder Ni.
