Abstract

1341133 Latticework towers VEREINIGTE OSTERREICHISCHE EISEN-UND STAHLWERKE AG 1 Oct 1971 [6 Oct 1970] 45842/71 Headings E1B and E1K A tapered latticework tower comprises corner posts having at least one flange 1a or 1b projecting outwardly of the flanges 1 to form a continuous longitudinal mounting surface independent of the mounting surface 1 to which the cross-members 2 and 3 of the latticework are secured. All the flanges may be formed with regular bolt holes 4. The corner posts may be Y section with the stem projecting outwardly and may be formed from two angles welded together or bent from strip. The outwardly projecting flanges may have inturned edges. Brackets 5 are mounted on the surface 1a and support channels 6 from which a rod 10 is adjustably supported, which rod may carry a pivotal antenna reflector. The tower could be triangular or polygonal in cross-section.
