1340640 Sintered watch cases SUWA SEIKOSHA K K 19 April 1972 [20 April 1971] 18123/72 Heading C7D [Also in Division G3] At least part of a watch case is made of a sintered material containing at least 20 per cent wt. of at least one nitride, up to 40 per cent wt. of a binder and 0-60 per cent wt. of at least one silicide, carbide, boride, oxide or sulphide. The nitrides, preferably 30-95% of the material may be of Ti, Si, Zr, Hf, V, Ta, Nb, Cr, Al, B, Mo, Th, U. The binder may be Ni, Co, Mo, Cu, Fe, Cr, Mn, Ti, Zr glass or a plastics such as polyester, nylon or phenol resin. The carbides and borides may be of Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, Th, U and the silicides may be of the same except for U and Th. The oxides may be of Al, Be, Mg, Ba, Ca, Sr, Zr, Hf, Si, V, Nb, Ti, Cr, Co, Fe, Mn, Zn, Nd, W, the sulphides may be of Be, Mg, Ca, Ba, Sr, Ce, Cs, Th, U, Fe. The material preferably contains 20-40% carbides and/or silicides and 30-50% borides, oxides, sulphides and 30% maximum of binder.
