Abstract

1340313 Welding by fusion VSESOJUZNY INSTITUT PO PROEKTIROVANIJU ORGANIZATSII ENERGETICHESKOGO STROITELSTVA "ORGENERGOSTROI" 5 April 1972 15659/72 Heading B3R [Also in Division C7] An electrode for arc welding carbon and low alloy steels comprises a steel-rod coated with a composition containing in per cent wt. 40-80 marble, 5-30 CaF 2 , 1-10 Fe-Si, 1-15 Fe-Ti, 1-10 Mn, 0À5-3 Al, 1-15 dacite and 1-15 sodium fluosilicate. Optional additions to the coating are up to 10% Cr, up to 10% Mo and up to 5% V. The powder composition is mixed with 20-30% sodium silicate, extruded on to the steel rod and heated at 400‹ C.
