Abstract

1339872 Electromagnetic relays SIEMENS AG 22 Feb 1972 [12 March 1971] 8014/72 Heading H1N An electromagnetic relay has its yoke 27 and cone 26 arranged with their axes parallel to each other and two armatures 28 each pivotally mounted on a respective yoke end and arranged so as to be attracted to a respective core end on energization of a coil 2 surrounding the core 26. Each armature has a forked end 37 which engages a U-shaped insulating actuator 22 which slides in guides 35 in the moulded coil former 1 and actuates contact spring sets such as 7, 8. The contact springs fit in grooves 12, 13, 14 in recesses 5, 6 in the former 1 which also retains springs 29 engaging projections 31 of the armatures to urge them against the yoke pole faces. The armatures are biased away from the core ends by the contact springs, and flexible power parts 25 act as back stops for the actuators 22.
