Abstract

1339371 Electrical machine housings ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 18 May 1972 [19 May 1971] 23404/72 Heading H2A In an electrical machine housing 10 comprising a body 11 on a first end of which is securely retained a bearing plate 13 by material deformations 17 in a surface of one of the body or plate, each deformation is associated with a respective recess 20 in a surface of the other of the plate or body and when the plate is so retained each recess is offset relative to its associated deformation such that the bearing plate may be removed from the body when the recesses are brought into registry with the associated deformations upon relative movement between the plate and body. As shown, the recesses 20 are in the bearing plate 13 and the deformations 17, comprising pairs of chiselled grooves 18, are in the body 11, the plate having holes 21 for receiving a tool by which it may be angularly moved and also for ventilating the housing. The cupshaped body, of iron, forms the machine yoke. Instead of being cylindrical, the housing may have two oppositely flattened sides on which machine parts may be mounted.
