Abstract

1339303 Sliding clasp fastener OPTI-HOLDING AG 19 April 1971 [5 March 1970] 23247/71 Heading E2S In a separable sliding clasp fastener, having rows 3, 4 of interlocking members attached to stringer tapes 1, 2 and a thermoplastics separation mechanism comprising a plug 6 and socket 5 with integral or separate connector 7, the plug and connector elements 6, 7 have teeth 11, 12 engaging each other in use and additional elements 15, 16 to prevent relative movement between the plug and connector in a direction perpendicular to the fastener longitudinal axis. The teeth 11, 12, which could have parallel interlocking faces 17, 18 may extend over half the thickness of the plug or connector, the other half comprising the additional elements 15, 16 which may also include catches 19, 20 to prevent relative longitudinal movement of the plug and connector.
