Abstract

1339102 Fastenings STOP-CHOC SCHWINGUNGSTECHNIK GmbH & CO KG 29 Feb 1972 [15 Dec 1971] 9228/72 Heading E2B A plug-in unit is retained in a rack 31 by a screw fastener comprising a threaded rod 43 pivoted to the rack by a pin 41 and having a member 86 running on the thread when rotated manually via a knob 104 provided with ratchet teeth 107 engaging ratchet teeth 93 on the member 86 by an elastic cushion 111 and a nut 113. Forward rotation causes a spring 78 to be compressed until member 86 abuts a taper ring 63 and inner face 68 of ring 63 abuts face 74 of an intermediate ring 72 thereby compressing dished washer springs 81 and causing a hook nose 39 provided a hook 38 secured to a front plate 37 of the unit to engage in an opening 66 of member 86. Beyond a certain force ratchet teeth 93, 107 which are of the Hirth type over-ride to prevent excess force being applied. To release the unit reverse rotation draws ring 72 back so that it abuts collar 51 provided on a sleeve 49 which slides on rod 44 and has an engaging plate 57 which engages a front plate 37 on the unit to draw it out.
