Abstract

1284434 Releasable fastenings LOEWE OPTA GmbH 29 Oct 1969 [7 Nov 1968] 52883/69 Heading E2B A kit of parts for attachment to a shaft to form a push button, consists of a body part 4 and a cover part 1, insertable into an opening in the upper portion of said body part, said body part having projections 6 and ribs 5, 7 engageable with corresponding rib-like projections 9, 10, 11 and notches 13 of the end portion of said shaft, so that when the body part is placed on the end portion of said shaft lateral movement of said body part causes said projections and ribs of said body part to catch in said notches of said shaft, the cover part having a resilient shank which after insertion into the opening of the body part holds the latter immovably on said shaft, with the end portion of said shank resiliently engaging the shaft. When the body part and end portion of the shaft are inter-engaged, the projection 10 first enters between the two ribs 7 and then the projections 11 are engaged by the ribs 5 and the projections 6 by the notches 13 by the lateral movement. The projection 10 then overlies a shoulder 14 of the body part. The part 1 has its cylindrical shank surrounded by a spring clip 3.
