1337558 Tandem axle suspensions CRANE FRUEHAUF TRAILERS Ltd 24 Oct 1972 48918/72 Heading B7D In a tandem axle suspension comprising an equalizer beam 4 engaging the adjacent ends of leaf-springs 2, 6 and pivotally mounted by rubber bushes on a shaft 8 carried by a centre spring hanger 9, rubbing surfaces 14 are provided on the hanger 9 on each side of the ends of the beam 4 so that the beam rubs against one or more of the rubbing surfaces when subjected to sideways forces to reduce the effect of such forces on the rubber bushes.
