1337552 Sealing glass plate structures ELECTROVAC FABRIKATION ELEKTROTECHNISCHER SPEZIALARTIKEL GmbH 3 Feb 1972 [4 Feb 1971] 5129/72 Heading C1M [Also in Division H4] In a modification of the liquid crystal cell construction described in Specification 1,337,551 comprising a plurality of spaced plates of inorganic material such as glass, all, or all except one being light-transmissive, and in which grains in a single layer between plates act as spacers, the grains of the single layer are surrounded by solder glass having a lower softening temperature. Spaces in the composite grain/ solder glass layer are occupied by liquid crystal material and the structure heated to softening temperature of the solder glass to seal the parts together. Electrodes may be provided at each side of the composite layer, to provide a display device.
