Abstract
1337111 Junction pieces KILARD CO (BURTON-ON-TRENT) Ltd 19 April 1971 [16 Jan 1970] 2150/70 Heading F2G [Also in Divisions B2 and B8] An assembly of at least one junction piece which divides a flow of particles carried by an air stream into separate equal streams within a casing on top of a machine such as a pulverizing mill, is such as to allow the junction piece to be removed through the casing wall. In one form, the two-part casing 15 (one part only shown) of a junction piece assembly on top of a pulverizing mill has a central inlet 12 for coal and two outlets 16, junction pieces 19 being inserted into apertures 21 at the sides of the casing. A separate inlet (6), Fig. 1 (not shown), furnishes air which carries coal particles over a separating cone (14) in the mill, the finer particles being carried upwards through entry passages 18 to the junction pieces 19, which divide the resulting stream into equal flows directed through the outlets 16. The junction pieces 19 may be as described in Specification 1,297, 372.
