Abstract

1335496 Building panels DUMONT ET BESSON 26 Jan 1972 3599/72 Headings E1B and E1W [Also in Division B5] Prefabricated injection moulded storey high building panels for walls, floors or suspended ceilings are made by laying a frame 6, 7 on a lower mold plate 1, introducing any fittings e.g. for beating, lighting or plumbing and perforated tubes 12 and 15 into the space within the frame, applying an upper mould plate, and injecting synthetic resin from (polyurethane) via some of the tubes (i.e. tube 12) whilst air is exhausted through the others (i.e. tubes 15). A filter such as expanded clay, schist or glass may also be introduced before the foam is injected. The frame may include indentations for door or window openings. Metal lintels may be connected to the tubes above the door or window openings. In floor or ceiling panels a plurality of additional wooden cross members are provided across the frame which is a complete rectangle. The wall panels are connected with adjacent similar panels by fillets engaging edge grooves which are produced by complementary formations on the edge of the mould.
