1335273 Electro-erosion SPETSIALNOE PROEKTNO - KONSTRUKTORSKOE I TEKHNOLOGICHESKOE BJURO ELEKTROOBRABOTKI 28 May 1971 18071/71 Heading B3V [Also in Division G3] An electro-erosion machine for cutting out articles from a blank 15 comprises a pivotable arm 1 carrying an electrode wire 5 and a pattern follower 3 which controls, via a device 4, two drive motors 10, 21, one of which, 10, pivots the arm 1 about its pivot axis 2 and the other, 21, moves a carriage 16 connected through an inclined bar 17 to a workpiece carriage 14 and to a pattern carrying table 12 by a flexible tie 18. The electrode wire 5 is mounted on a carriage 7 movable relative to the arm 1 by a screw 8 and the angle α of the bar 17 is variable so that the apparatus can be used for different scales of copying. The follower 3 is an electronic-optical pick-up.
