1335226 Acrylonitrile STAMICARBON NV 18 May 1971 [23 May 1970] 15551/71 Addition to 1307414 Heading C2C In a modification of the process of Specification 1,307,414, acrylonitrile is recovered from an aqueous ammonium salt solution contaminated by a small proportion of acrylonitrile by distilling or stripping this solution in a distillation column, the pH of the solution in the distillation column being controlled at a value of from 3 to 5, and removing purified acrylonitrile as a gaseous overhead stream, and forming a solution of acrylonitrile therefrom.
