Abstract

1334626 Trays PLASTICS INC 19 April 1971 [27 Nov 1970] 25389/70 Heading A4A A rectangular interlocking tray has a pair of similar shaped opposite walls which include near one end of each of the walls of the pair a first half of an interlocking means capable of interlocking with the second half of the interlocking means at the other end of the corresponding wall of a similar tray. The interlocking means may comprise an outwardly extending flange 45, 46, having a downwardly extending flange 47, 49 at the one end of the wall 33, 34 and an outwardly extending flange 51, 52 having an upwardly extending flange 53, 54. As two similar trays are pushed together, the flanges 53 and 49, and 54 and 47 interlock. The flanges 47, 49, 53 and 54 have bevelled edges to facilitate the interlocking. In a modification the flanges 47, 49 may engage an unflanged part of the wall of a similar tray. The tray may have interlocking means on each pair of side walls. The interlocked trays can be stacked.
