Abstract

1334518 Valves ROTAX Ltd 14 Jan 1971 [10 Feb 1970] 6243/70 Heading F2V [Also in Division B7] A valve 14 of a control system, Fig. 1 (not shown, see Division B7), of the thrust reversing buckets of a gas turbine engine, controls the supply of pressure fluid from an inlet 56 to outlets 50, 51 formed in the casing of a motor 12 for operating the buckets, by means of an element 54 rotating in a stationary valve casing 52. The element is formed with a conduit 55 which is always connected to the inlet and which may be connected to either outlet 50, 51 or be blocked by the casing of the motor 12. The element 54 and valve casing 52 define a torroidal chamber 58 divided into two sections by diametrically opposed baffles extending from the valve casing. Two diametrically opposed vanes extending into the chamber 58 from the element 54 define pistons moving in the two sections which define cylinders of servomotors to control the valve.
