Abstract

1333105 Valves MOTO METER GmbH 19 Nov 1970 17081/73 Divided out of 1333104 Heading F2V Successive pressures, e.g. in the combustion chambers of rotary or orbital piston engines, are monitored by an arrangement which includes a valve device 1 responsive to the successive pressures applied to an inlet 18. The valve comprises a piston 5 which reciprocates in a cylinder 2 in phase with the pressures and is caused to rotate so as to connect the inlet 18 selectively with a number of outlets 17 (Fig. 1, not shown). The rotation is caused by a sinuous cam track 23 in the piston co-operating with a pin 10. Movement of the piston upwardly eventually uncovers a channel 11 so that inlet pressure applied to chamber 3 drives the piston downwardly. Towards the end of this movement another channel 12 permits the pressure in chamber 3 to leak away.
