Abstract

1333430 Releasable fastenings INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 29 Dec 1970 [29 Dec 1969] 61594/70 Heading E2A A device for attaching a panel or cover to a cabinet comprises a first part having a resilient flap 11 and a latch 14, and a second part having a pair of spaced guides 10 into which the flap can be inserted, and a striking plate 12. During insertion of the flap into the guides the flap is resiliently bent into an arc about an axis substantially parallel to the direction of insertion until the latch engages over the striking plate to secure the parts together when the flap resumes the initial flat disposition thereof. The device may be used for attaching panels, i.e. picture tube masking frames and loundspeaker grills to television cabinets, and covers to boxes.
