Abstract

1332849 Turbo generator rotors TSENTRALNY NAUCHNO-ISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUT TEKHNOLOGII MASHINOSTROENIA 21 Sept 1971 43842/71 Heading H2A In a turbine-generator rotor comprising two generally disc-shaped end members 1, 2 and a plurality of intermediate disc-shaped members 5, 6 all having a central bore 3, 7 along which extends a rod 8 forming the main mechanical link bracing the members together, additional mechanical links 15 are provided by a plurality of ring-shaped members 16 each having its external curved surface pressure fitted into respective annular sockets 17 so made in the rotor periphery that the two halves of each socket are made in adjacent ones of two members 1, 2, 5, 6 on respective sides of the junction therebetween, and structures retain the members 16 in the sockets. As shown, the structures are screws 19 threaded partly into both the members 16 and a central radial projection in the sockets 17, and in Fig. 5 they are lock rings (20). Projections 9, 11, 13 received in cavities 10, 12, 14 axially align the disc-shaped members. There is a slight clearance between the members 16 and the projections 18.
