Abstract

1331944 Pressure indicators NU-SWIFT INTERNATIONAL Ltd 29 June 1971 [31 July 1970] 37054/70 Heading G1L A pressure indicator 20 for indicating the pressure in a vessel, e.g. a fine extinguisher, has a piston 26 normally forced outwardly against the loading of a spring 28 by fluid pressure acting on a resilient rubber or elastomeric diaphragm 30 which is placed around the adapter 1, 2, 16 to act as a seal and a pressure transmitting member. The outer end of a plunger 25 fixed to piston 26 is coloured green and normally extends to a mark 32 as seen through transparent sight gauge 19 and plastics dome 34, but if the pressure in the vessel falls below a pre-determined minimum the spring forces the piston inwardly thereby exposing a red portion 31 of a rod 23, which portion is normally hidden by the annular outer end of the plunger.
