Abstract

1331603 Pressurized dispensing container CIBA-GEIGY (UK) Ltd 16 Oct 1970 [17 Oct 1969 4 April 1970] 51061/69 and 16053/70 Heading F1R [Also in Division F4] A pressurized dispensing container 12 is positively attached to a valve 1 forming part of a central heating system, and preferably contains a corrosion inhibitor which may thus be injected into the system. In addition it may contain a sealant, anti-scalant, sequestering chelating, anti-freezing or dispersing agent. The valve is preferably a non-return, automatic venting valve, for example of the kind incorporating fibre washers 10 which expand when wet and contract when dry to allow the venting of gas, so that propellant from the container may be vented from the system. Adaptor 14 which mates with the valve may include a pin for moving ball 8 off its seat to enable the contents of the container to be injected more easily.
