1,264,263. Stoppers. L. O. EKMAN. 24 Feb., 1970 [25 Feb., 1969], No. 8908/70. Heading B8T. [Also in Division F2] A threaded or like plug for a filling tube incorporates a pivoted grip 13 in the shape of a sectored disc pivoted about an axis 14 perpendicular to the disc. When out of use, the grip is situated in a recess in the plug so that the uppermost edge of the grip is flush with the essentially plane surface of the plug. The plug co-operates with a flanged collar 2, 9 which is soldered or welded to a filling tube 1 of a fuel or water tank. The grip may have a mass distribution so that when it is released in the projecting position, it falls to the closed position.
