1330246 Toy accessories IDEAL TOY CORP 19 Jan 1971 [18 Feb 1970] 2532/71 Heading A6S An accessory for a doll 16, the doll having a spring motor 32 and a string 22 for withdrawal from the doll to wind up the motor, the string being drawn back into the doll when released to allow operation of the motor which operates a device for controlling primary animation of the doll, for example rotation of its head, comprises means which cooperate with the string and are driven thereby while at least a portion of the string is drawn back into the doll said means when thus driven serving to provide a secondary animation function (i.e. movement of the accessory and the doll as a whole or movement of some part of the accessory and/or doll). The doll may be as disclosed in Specification 1304062. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2 the accessory comprises a car 18 which has a capstan 28b around which the withdrawn string can be turned. On release of the string the capstan is rotated to drive the rear wheels 38 of the car through gear wheel 44 and rubber disc 46. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 10 the accessory comprises a baby carriage 72 with a pivoted back rest 74 through a slot in which the string 22 is passed. As the string returns the pull-ring 26 acts on the back rest to rotate it and move the doll to a sitting position. (Fig. 11, not shown). The Specification also states that accessories for attachment to limbs of the doll not normally animated by the motor 32, seesaws and roundabouts are also contemplated.
