The self-opening is effected by a spring 39 between the main slider 35 and an auxiliary slider 38 which carries auxiliary struts 40 which are pivoted to the struts 34. The telescopic shaft 31 is extended by an internal spring 43 and is held extended by projections held out by a spring 42. The umbrella is held folded by an engaging means 41 which engages the upper part 31a of shaft 31 and the auxiliary slider 38. At least one tension.
