Abstract

1328648 Removing oil from water H GUBELA 8 Dec 1970 [8 Dec 1969] 57331/70 Heading C1C Oil, benzine, grease or similar chemical substances floating on the surface of water or entrained therein are absorbed by a foamed formaldehyde resin or a foamed phenol-formaldehyde resin. The resin may be particulate, e.g. of size 0À05 to 5 mm. or in the form of a plate or beam. The resin may be applied to the chemicals from a pressurized container, by spraying, or as a filter contained in a casing, or from a water soluble bag. The Specification includes drawings of beams, and filter casings made of foamed resins and a bag and pressurized container containing a foamed resin.
