Abstract

1328439 Hair washing device E FAVA 16 June 1971 [1 July 1970] 28094/71 Heading ASR A hair washing device comprises a hood 1, Figure 1, having a seal 2, a plurality of showers 5 arranged inside the hood, a liquid-storage reservoir (9), Figure 3 (not shown) connected to the showers by separate conduits 6, 7, (8), Figure 2 (not shown), a plurality of electricallyoperable valves El, E2, E3, Figure 4, provided one in each conduit to control the liquid supply, and an electrical circuit, Figure 5 (not shown), for selectively controlling the valves. A trough 3 is provided for collection of liquid from inside the helmet and delivery through conduit 4 to a filter (11); a drain pump P2 and a delivery pump are connected to the reservoir (9). Containers (12), (13) provided for hair treatment liquids, are connected to the showers and to reservoir (9) via pumps P3, P4. The electrical circuit for the device includes a timing circuit 16, an electronic circuit 17 for heating and controlling the liquid temperature, a thermistor R3 for controlling a heating resistance R6, a manually-adjustable potentiometer operated by a knob on console 18 for adjusting the liquid temperature, a timer 15, and a level indicator 14 for liquid in the reservoir. The circuit 17 comprises a current amplifier (24), a current rectifier (33), and a bi-directional semiconductor (T1) which allows variable current passage to resistor R6. The circuit for controlling valves El, E2, E3 in conduits 6, 7, (8) comprises a variable period oscillator (21) connected to a bi-stable multivibrator (20) and the coil 22 of a multiple-changeover contact relay for supplying or cutting off current to the electrically-operable valves.
