Abstract

Device for washing the lower body region, which can be built onto a w.c. or a bidet and has a heating device for the washing water, preferably constructed as a through-flow heater (22). In order that washing water that is too hot cannot reach or be sprayed onto the lower body region, a temperature sensor (72) and a control valve (78) are preferably arranged in the outlet line (70) of the through-flow heater (22). If the temperature of the washing water exceeds a prescribed value, the control valve is reversed, and the excessively warm or hot water is diverted via a further line (80), preferably into the rinsing water container. These processes are controlled by means of an electrical control device, which switches in a heat source (100), in particular a quartz radiator, before the start of the drying process or before a fan (82) is switched on. This results, on the one hand, in prewarming of the air present in the interior (98) of the w.c. pan and, on the other hand, destruction of bacteria and germs.
