Abstract
1328307 Feeding sheets MITA INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 21 July 1971 [21 July 1970] 34261/71 Heading B8R Copy sheets 1, Fig. 1, are separated from a pile by a roller 2 operated through a clutch 3 electrically actuated, and fed by continuously rotating roller pairs 11a-11e through a copying machine past one or more detectors 13 which deenergize the clutch when a previous sheet is present in the machine. There may be two detectors each comprising a lever 17 or 17<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 2d, movable upwardly by a sheet 1 to open a switch S 1 in the clutch circuit, or to close such a switch to energize a relay which then opens a switch in the clutch circuit. The detector may be photo-electric.
