Abstract

1322794 Detecting misfed sheets XEROX CORP 9 July 1970 [14 July 1969] 33355/70 Heading G2H In apparatus wherein copy sheets are fed by belt 16 into contact with an image bearing drum 10 and separated from this drum by puffers 24 for transport by a vacuum belt 20, and photocell assembly 26 stops machine operation if the light reflected from the drum indicates that a sheet has not been separated therefrom when misfeed is detected the resistance of photo-cell PC1 drops, current flows through capacitor C4 and a trigger circuit Q 2 Q 4 SCR1 energizes a relay K1 to switch off the machine.
