1327757 Printer's blanket DUNLOP HOLDINGS Ltd 8 Dec 1970 [16 Dec 1969] 61142/69 Heading B6C A printer's blanket comprises a printing surface D, a polymer foam layer B and a reinforcing layer A composed of rayon, cotton, carbon, polyester, nylon, polypropylene or glass filaments 1 arranged parallel to the length of the blanket and partially or wholly embedded in a flexible polymer composition 2. The reinforcing layer has a higher compression modulus than the foam, and the filaments and polymer composition preferably have the same modulus when measured in thickness. A preferred polymer composition is a blend of polypropylene or nylon with nitrile rubber. A further nitrile rubber-polypropylene and/or textile fabric layer C may be interposed between the printing surface and foam, and may include a fabric 3 impregnated with a polymer which forms the printing surface.
