1327427 Vehicle supports NEWMAN GRANGER (AGRICULTURE) Ltd 24 May 1971 [11 Sept 1970] 43504/70 Heading B7J A jack for raising and supporting vehicles comprises a nut (in a casing 1) threaded on a lead screw 4, a ground-engageable wheel 7 rotatably mounted about a point (pin 8) fixed relative to the lead screw 4, and a goundengageable leg 10, pivotally mounted at a further point (pin 11) rotatable relative to the lead screw 4 so that the leg 10 in an operative position may be located substantially coaxially with the longitudinal axis of the lead screw and in an inoperative position may extend substantially transversely to that axis. The casing 1 may be secured to a vehicle so that, when the lead screw 4 is screwed down by handle 3, the vehicle is jacked up if the leg 10 is in the operative position or an extra wheel is provided by the wheel 7 if the leg is in the inoperative position. A bush 2, secured to the lead screw 4, carries a rotatable bearing 14 which is mounted in a block 5. The leg 10, which carries a foot 9, has apertures 12 and 15 which may be selectively aligned with apertures 13 in arms 6 to receive a peg in the inoperative and operative positions respectively. Also secured to the block 5 are the pair of arms 6 supporting pin 8 and wheel 7.
