Abstract
1327130 Spinning yarns HEBERLEIN & CO AG 13 Dec 1971 [11 Dec 1970] 57827/71 Headings D1F and D1W In the production of compound "non-stretch high-bulk" yarn, at least one synthetic, e.g. polyamide, polyester, polyolefin or vinyl-based multifilament, yarn is textured, e.g. by falsetwist crimping, and immediately thereafter, perhaps on the texturing machine, crimp is developed therein, e.g. by hot or cold relaxation for 5-50% of the fully extended length, to a predetermined and controlled extent. Two such yarns false-twisted in opposite directions during the texturing process may be simultaneously treated to this stage. The resultant yarn(s) is are assembled with at least one "non- stretch" yarn, e.g. untextured yarn(s) of cellulose acetate, cotton, rayon, silk, wool or synthetic material such as polyacrylonitrile staple or polyamide filaments, and wound. The wound yarn may be consolidated by plytwisting, e.g. 100-200 turns/metre, optionally with at least one additional yarn.
