Abstract

1327032 Quaternary ammonium substituted hydroxylamines AGFA-GEVAERT 2 Oct 1970 [27 Oct 1969] 52564/69 Heading C2C [Also in Division G2] The invention comprises compounds in which one of R 1 and R 2 is a hydroxyalkyl group carrying a cyclic or acyclic quaternary ammonium group, and the other is alkyl or a hydroxyalkyl group carrying a cyclic or acyclic quaternary ammonium group. These compounds may be prepared by quaternization or by reaction of hydroxylamine or an N- alkylhydroxylamine with a quaternary salt of a glycidylamine. The compounds of the invention used as photographic developing agents.
