Abstract
Fog is prevented in developed silver halide emulsions by development thereof in the presence of a compound of formula:- wherein R is a fur-z-yl,thiophen-z-yl or pyrrolz-yl group. The antifoggant may be present in the emulsion or developer baths for colour or black and white development.
