Abstract

1325935 Brazing AMERICAN STANDARD Inc 19 April 1971 [2 March 1970] 22670/71 Heading B3R [Also in Division F4] In a heat exchanger part of the outer wall of a conduit T is contacted by a matrix of bodies P which may be connected to one another and to the conduit by brazing. The bodies are preferably of steel with a copper coating which forms the brazing material, or they may be of aluminium and bonded with a brazing material of copper, aluminium or other metal, or they may be of plastics material, preferably metallized. The brazing operation may be carried out in an atmosphere of dissociated ammonia, carbon dioxide or other gas, or in vacuo.
